The Institute T.M.A.E.S Polytechnic which is dedicated to the achievement of excellence in the technical field was established in the year 1983. The institution is situated in a lush green campus which is spread over an area of 5 acres on the out skirts of Hospet in Karnataka state.

His holiness Sri Chandramouleswara Maha swamiji is a Dharmadhikari by profession and an ardent lover of education by temperament. One of his aims was to educate the rural oriented masses who have been deprived of educational facilities and there by lifting their standard of living to meet the challenges of the modern world. He realized very early that government by it self would be unable to take literacy and education to villages. With the blessing of Sri Chandrashekhara Maha swamiji, he started to establish educational institutions in many parts of rural Karnataka. The system of Education in these institutions is in tune with basic needs of life.
General education teaches us how to live, where as the technical education teaches us how to make a living. Realizing this importance he gave top priority to technical education to solve the problem of bread and butter. He was aware that technical and professional institutions are existed in cities only. Obviously it would be extremely difficult for the poor students to get higher education as they could not afford the expenditure of staying and studying in cities. One of the greatest contributions of swamiji is taking technical and professional institutions to the remote corners of Karnataka. In these educational institutions not only students from many parts of Karnataka, but also students from other states like Kerala, Andhrapradesh, Maharastra, uttarpradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Gujarat and Himachala Pradesh are pursuing their education. These institutions have produced thousands of eminent personalities like professors, doctors, druggists, chemists and industrialists.
Professional colleges of T.M.A.E. society are a boon to the rural students. Wherever they go they proudly say "We are the products of Tegginamath institution". Students of various disciplines have brought name and fame to the institutions by securing ranks and awards. As of today more than 5000 students are pursuing their education in various institutions of T.M.A.E.Society which has about 1200 employees.
Shri T.M.Chandrashekharaiah is a DREAMER, THINKER AND A MAN OF ACTION has not lost in the past but always thinking of the future, living an integrated life, bringing into existence and giving shape to dreams not for himself but for the society.
The Administrative Bureau, the nerve center of T.M.A.E's educational institutions is located in the premises of Matth. The governing body constituting of nine members, run the society under the president ship of Sri Swamiji. The Society has an able administrator Sri T.M. Chandrashekhariah, M.A. who is the Secretary of T.M.A.E Society under his staeavard ship the society has made a name for itself. He deserves special appreciation for his administrative capabilities. He is the backbone of the T.M.A.E.'S administrations who equally shoulders the yoke of responsibilities with Mahaswamiji in the smooth running of the affairs of society.
Shri T.M.Chandrashekharaiah credits all his associates for his achievements. That sums up his humanity, an inborn trait. His journey resumes after each accomplishment. He proceeds towards new destinations. He adopts new means for the new challenges that surface. Fresh set of struggles clinch new meanings and new results. This cycle continues. It also fulfills the need for the social documentation.
Apart from an able administrator, he is a great builder of the institution.
Institutions are built by those who are committed to the cause of
society in field of education. Shri T.M. Chandrashekharaiah is
no exception in this respect. He has been working with devotion
and distinction for the all-round development of the T.M.A.E.
Society for the past three decades. As a result, his dream of
building the T.M.A.E. institution as one of the best in the
state has become a reality. Today every educational institution
has beautiful buildings with modern infrastructure be it medical,
technical or professional.
This college remembers with a sweet mixture of pain and pride, the struggle of early days when heaven and earth was moved to bring this great vision to fruition. A small sapling of a college that was planted then has today grown into a veritable colossus, a mammoth testimony to the forth, dedication sweat, tears and toil of a great person, OUR PRINCIPAL Mr. T.M.VIJAYKUMAR for providing yeoman service to the cause of True education and successful lives of many students both at home and abroad.
Mr. T.M.Vijay Kumar an civil engineering graduate from J S S College of Engineering, Mysore soon after his graduation took over the mantle of responsibility in the year of 1984 as Principal of this institution and pledged to do the at most in consolidating the task begun by his holiness Sri chandramouleswara Swamiji. If we walk down memory lane, reliving each moment of glory, each moment of disappointment which marked the path which leads to when we stand today. We credit all this to our beloved Principal Mr. T.M.Vijay Kumar for his faith, dedication and commitment and who still strives for creating higher benchmarks.
